Any organisation with a UK presence that supplies products and/or services to the UK mobile and ICT channels and their ecosystems. This includes, but is not limited to, distributors, MVNOs, operators, dealers, retailers, repair organizations, airtime wholesalers, app developers, and manufacturers.
Charging an entry fee serves multiple purposes: it helps filter out less serious or non-committed participants, raising the overall standard and quality of submissions. Additionally, the entry fee helps offset the costs associated with the judging process.
For the Mobile News Awards 2025, we've significantly reduced the entry fee to enable smaller organisations to enter. This fee applies to each entry you submit (e.g., one entry is £75, two entries are £150, and so on).
Yes. But sponsors can only enter categories they are not sponsoring, Judges score entries entirely on an entry's merits and have no interest in who the sponsors of the Mobile News Awards are.
Entries must relate to a product, service, or commercial activity available to the mobile channel and, where applicable, to consumer customers between January 1, 2024, and January 31, 2025.
If your entry contains sensitive information you prefer not to be made public, please mark that specific content as CONFIDENTIAL. Any content marked as confidential will not be reproduced. Yes. You may engage any outside
marketing agency, consultant, PR
agency or advertising agency to produce
and submit your entry.
Tips for Crafting a Winning Entry
Your entry will be reviewed by experienced professionals from the mobile industry But don't assume they’re familiar with your organization, product, or service. Judges will have limited time to review each entry, so make every word count by focusing on data-driven details, relevant statistics, customer reviews, and endorsements.
Avoid generalisations, mission statements, or PR language—use real, verified evidence to support each claim you make (e.g., customer feedback, market research).
Key Points to Remember:
Provide Supporting Evidence:
Back up every statement with tangible proof, such as customer testimonials, independent market research, or financial performance indicators. 2
Enhance Your Entry with Additional Materials:
Upload files (20 MB max) or share links to supplementary materials, like videos and testimonials. We highly recommend including this type of support to strengthen your submission.
Choose the Right Awards Category
Focus on categories that align with your strengths and best showcase your achievements.
Answer the Entry Criteria Directly
Stick strictly to the questions. If a question is about sustainability, for example, stay on topic; don’t diverge into unrelated areas like employee diversity. Answer only what’s asked.
Use Plain English: Keep your language clear, straightforward, and free of jargon.
Supporting Evidence.
Entries that stand out include clear evidence such as independent testimonials, financial performance indicators (turnover and profit), and published reviews.
While the judges are experts, they may not be familiar with your specific product or market niche—be concise, clear, and assume they are seeing your product for the first time.

Not every entry will make it to the shortlist. Judges meticulously evaluate each submission, and only the top four or five, based on scoree, are shortlisted. This number may vary depending on the total entries in each category. Including all submissions on the shortlist would dilute the prestige of being a finalist or winner. By limiting the shortlist , we ensure it reflects the highest quality, preserving the competition's integrity and distinction. Being a sponsor or booking a table has absolutely no impact on who is shortlisted or wins.
Finalists will be announced once judging is completed, around February 18, 2025. Each Finalist will receive a notification along with an official Mobile News Awards logo for marketing and PR purposes. Finalist status is determined by the judges, and submittimg an entry does not guarantee selection.
Judges are selected with care to ensure impartiality.
They are not current employees of any company that might have a conflict of interest with entrants or sponsors.
